This site is created using HUGO and it is driving me up the wall.

You may have noticed the theme and layout of this site has changed a bit. That’s because I have been wrestling HUGO.

HUGO is a static site generator. It takes my blog pages and applies a theme, then mashes them together into a blog site. HUGO is created by the people who make HUGO and the theme is created by the people who make the theme.

Sometimes the people who make HUGO make changes in HUGO which break the theme. Sometimes the people who make the theme update the theme to fix those breakages, and sometimes the people who make the theme do not update the theme to fix the breakages.

The people who made the theme for my site did not update the theme when HUGO made an update which broke the theme and, in result, broke my site.

I’ve applied a new theme made by somebody else which makes my site look and behave a bit differently, but at least it now has a look and a behaviour.

Apologies if your links to my blog or your RSS feed is broken in this process. Blame HUGO. Or the person who made my old theme.
